COLOURFIELD ~ The Scarf Series

COLOURFIELD ~ The Scarf Series

Colour is a language. It speaks without words. The Colorfield Scarves grew from the communication between light, landscape, and mood.

They were inspired by the fascinating way colours live in nature, constantly shifting with the light, brighter in the daylight, deeper in the shadows and richer at the golden hour.

The five scarves in this series aren’t designed in repeats. Each piece holds its own rhythm of colour blocking, with palettes drawn from a moment in time. The meeting of warp and weft creates unexpected hues, shades and transitions.

Sahara, the complex colours of sand; Seagrass, the freshness of fields; Blush Rose, the beauty of soft Indian blooms; Misty Marigold, the diffused sunlight on flowers; and Sierra, the earth at dusk.

Although the Colorfield Scarves are a study in colour, they are equally about handweaving and design balance. Once draped, they become a complex play of hues. The colour blocks shifting and blending so that their boundaries can no longer be defined. Each scarf changes with movement and light, revealing new combinations every time it’s worn.

Crafted by weavers in rural India, their soft, handwoven cotton makes them easy to wear across seasons. They are breathable in summer, cosy in the fall.
